Responsible for teaching beginning art and advanced sculpture classes; grades 10-12.
Course Description: Advanced Sculpture
Sculpture students will learn and create three-dimensional projects through a variety of media throughout the year. A heightened visual sensitivity for three-dimensional composition is a major objective of every project. Each project will utilize the elements and principals of design to construct three-dimensional forms and place emphasis on the relationship of the structural process to the form it builds. The course will employ a variety of materials in the activation of form and space, such as wire, clay, plaster, wood, and cardboard. Independent projects will make use of a variety of materials and concepts. For each project, students will explore many types of professional artist's and their processes.
Course Description: Beginning Art
Art 1 students will learn the elements and principles of design, create projects that incorporate these elements, learn to critique artwork and create a portfolio of work and knowledge. Beginning Art is a "project based class," the projects include, terms, artists, and techniques.
Indiana University: Beginning Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design
Course Description:
Introduction to basic techniques used in metalsmithing and jewelry making with an emphasis on fabrication and design. The major objective of this course is to enable students to explore metal as a medium of aesthetic expression and discovery. Students should strive to develop skills and a sense of craftsmanship in handling metal. This course will focus on an integration of the student's ideas, basic design principles, and technical process relating to jewelry and metalworking. This course is also intended to provide the student with an opportunity to discover what has been done in the field of metal arts and its' relationship to other art forms.

Course Description:
The visual dialogue between form and space is the primary concern of this foundation course in three-dimensional design. A heightened visual sensitivity for three-dimensional composition is a major objective of every project. Students utilize line, plane, and volume separately and in concert to construct three-dimensional forms and place emphasis on the relationship of the structural process to the form it builds. The course employs a variety of materials in the activation of form and space, such as wire, cardboard, clay, wood, and plaster. Students work with visual and structural relationships defined through additive and subtractive means: modeling, carving, and construction.

Completed 12 weeks of full-time student teaching. Six weeks of elementary were completed at Ella Iles Fine Arts Academy, Lubbock, Texas. Six weeks of High School were completed at Lubbock High School (magnet art) Lubbock, Texas- taught jewelry/ metalsmithing and sculpture. Performance evaluations available upon request.

Dunbar Junior High, Lubbock Texas: One day workshop/demonstration of basic metalsmithing techniques, and presented a lecture on my work.
Saturday morning art program "ARTery" I was responsible for designing art lessons for seven Saturdays for 7th, 8th and 9th graders from various schools in Lubbock Texas. In the class we explored media ranging from print making to metalsmithing while keeping in mind the teaching model of social theory.
Assisted Texas Tech University Professor Rob Glover in a weekend casting workshop for local High School students, in Lubbock Texas.
Bozeman Elementary, Lubbock Texas: I was responsible for teaching sixth grade art once a week for a total of ten lessons (ten weeks). The school did not have an art program so I made it an objective to expose the students to as much art as possible. We covered basic art principals/fundamentals and explored a variety of techniques and mediums. I also geared the content of the art lessons around their lives and backgrounds.
Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center, Lubbock Texas: I was responsible for teaching once a week for a total of eight lessons (eight weeks). The students who were incarcerated ranged from 13 to 18 years of age and were considered "at risk" students. Teaching art to these students gave them an emotional release that they had not experienced. It also served as a great source of self-esteem for the students.
